With over 15 years of dedicated experience in mental health, Dr. Bhowmick brings a depth of clinical expertise and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to his role at Living Mind Wellbeing. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register with dual endorsements in Liaison Psychiatry and Substance Misuse, Dr. Bhowmick plays an integral role in delivering our mission to Balance, Prevent, Empower through comprehensive, evidence-based care.
Dr. Bhowmick completed his medical training at St George’s Hospital Medical School, London, followed by both core and specialist psychiatry training within the UK. He currently serves as a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS, and is approved by the Secretary of State under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983. His professional excellence was recognised through the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, awarded for his significant contributions to mental health services.
Dr. Bhowmick’s clinical experience spans across a wide spectrum of psychiatric specialisms including Adult Psychiatry, Older Adult Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Learning Disability, and Liaison Psychiatry. He holds particular expertise in managing Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Addiction, and complex co-morbid presentations, often encountered in both acute and chronic settings.
Known for his thoughtful, collaborative style, Dr. Bhowmick is deeply committed to working alongside patients and their families to tailor individualised treatment plans. His dual expertise in liaison psychiatry and addiction allows him to approach care with a holistic and integrated mindset, ensuring the highest standards of private psychiatric care.
